Summary of Medica (UK) services
Providing a high-quality clinical service, Medica (UK) teleradiology service offers essential support to the NHS and private healthcare providers to ensure early diagnosis and improve each patient’s experience and outcome.
These services provide hospital radiology departments, amongst other benefits, with the ability to manage their workflow more efficiently and provide rapid access to reporting capacity or subspecialty expertise which is not available within their own organisation. Medica offer two main teleradiology services:
Elective
For non-acute routine reporting, around the clock. The Elective service provides reporting for CT, MR (both forms of cross-sectional scan), X-Ray, Nuclear medicine, DXA and PET CT, with fast turnaround times to support capacity gaps in the NHS and independent sector.
NightHawk
Pioneering diagnostic support for the acute care environment. The out of hours emergency reporting service provides value access to radiologist reporting overnight facilitating improved patient outcomes, short reporting turnaround times and releasing onsite radiologists to work in the department during daytime hours. The average reporting turnaround in 2020 was 23 minutes.
“Medica has an excellent track record of high-quality clinical reporting and service innovation in the UK. Our customers value our partnership approach and I am very proud to work for an organisation who have such a positive impact on patient care.”
